Delmarva Chicken Festival

The Delmarva Chicken Festival has celebrated Delmarva Peninsula’s chicken industry for the past 59 years. The 2008 Festival features Delmarva’s giant 10-foot frying pan, plenty of tempting food, live entertainment, children’s activities as well as carnival games and rides. This family fun outing also includes arts and crafts, commercial displays, a car show, mini grand prix, educational displays and irresistible baby chicks!

Returning to Salisbury, MD for the 13th time, the 59th Annual Delmarva Chicken Festival will take place on June 20 and 21 at the Centre of Salisbury right here in Salisbury, Maryland. A special carnival preview night will be held on June 19. Admission to the festival is free, and it will run from 10:00am to 10:00pm.

Delmarva Poultry Industry, Inc. (DPI) sponsors the Delmarva Chicken Festival to spotlight and celebrate Delmarva’s broiler chicken industry, which produces nearly 600 million chickens annually and employs about 14,000 individuals.
